Carolyn's career has seen her working in a variety of human resource, business management and accounting roles in big business as well as marketing, management and taxation roles in small and medium business in a wide range of industries that includes retail, primary production and services. Whilst taking time off to raise her children, she took the opportunity to obtain formal qualifications; updating her knowledge and practical skills, and allowing her to study small business.

These studies and her further research into the information gather practices of the small business owner-manager have proven to be invaluable when assisting the owner-manager to translate big business theory and practices, proven to generate growth and profit, into the small business, and at an affordable cost.

Carolyn will be continuing her studies into small business. She believes more research is needed to better understanding the small business and improving their survival rate. Small businesses represent 97% of our business in Australia and generate just under 50% of employment yet most research and funding is focused on big business.

Carolyn is enrolled in the CPA program; she is currently an associate member.
